The Building Construction Level 6 course is designed to provide learners with advanced knowledge, practical skills, and professional competence required in the modern construction industry. The course equips students with the ability to plan, supervise, and execute building projects using appropriate construction methods, materials, tools, and safety procedures.

This program combines both theoretical and practical training to prepare learners for employment, self-employment, and further studies in the construction sector. Students are introduced to key areas such as building technology, construction materials, structural principles, quantity surveying, technical drawing, project management, and occupational health and safety.

The course emphasizes hands-on learning through workshop practice, site visits, industrial attachment, and project work. Learners gain practical experience in activities such as setting out, masonry, concreting, roofing, finishing works, and interpreting construction drawings.

In addition, the program develops important professional skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and ethical practices necessary for effective performance on construction sites and in related industries.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will be able to:

  • Interpret building drawings and specifications

  • Supervise construction activities effectively
